Psalm 45 is a little bit of a riddle or cypher. The psalm explains that it is supposed to be a good tone. It explains that our King is so beyond full of majesty and blessing but not simply due to his conquest and force but due to his truth, humility, and righteousness.

When Psalms speaks of the father’s “right - hand” it is saying more than just a hand. It is speaking about how the right hand is usually the person’s strongest hand, the persons most skilled. That is why it is so cool when David is saying that he is being trained and taught by the right hand of the Father. This is a purposeful connection from our understanding of humans to help us understand why God would explain things that way. He speaks to us the way we can follow. God can care for us and train us with either hand but in our world we understand that the dominant hand has the most skill and talent.

The weapons of the lord are mighty ; His might brings the world into submission. For example: the arrows of conviction, and of justice, and fervor, mercy and consolation. His kingdom is built upon righteousness and the reference of the king’s beauty and pleasantries of the king. The king’s daughters are among your honorable women and its the bride who stands at the right hand. In our understanding that the right hand is the more important place to stand. The right hand means extra strength and skill. The Bride is His right hand.

The Bride is consistently referred to as the church over and over throughout the bible. When this is said he means that the church is his right hand. The church is to do the work and follow christ step by step. We are his right hand. His skill and his team working on the ground in the world.

“Lord, I pray that you clearly lead us with your right hand. Help us to envision how you know the path before us and you know who we are. Help us to understand that you are all knowing so when we need to follow you off a deep end we can. Help us understand your word as we try to dig deeper into it. THere are many verses that seem like they are written in code and it can be so hard to understand because we need to figureout the key to the code. I pray as those who are reading this read through the bible that anything that seems confusing is cleared up now. That they feel they aree reading the bible with a whole new mind and set of eyes. You love us and we want to love you like you love us but we need help.

Amen”

With all my love,

Willow Ann
