Happy Independence Day
Fourth of July needs a revamp. I know that there have been some incredibly difficult things going on in the world & sometimes in our own backyards. The world may seem dark and cynical but it doesn’t have to feel that way. We have a heavenly father who has given each and every one of us an opportunity to be free; free indeed. Whether, you have dealt with loss, with loneliness, with despair, if you have been anxious, and stressed. Have you noticed that you feel like a shell of who you are? With God, there is an answer for that.
Give your life over to God Almighty. Let Him know that you understand that we live in a fallen world and we are sinners and it’s only through the sacrifice of His one and only son we are freed. Jesus was sent down human to be a perfect sacrifice for our connection to Him. Then ,tell Him that you know He is the one true way and that anyone who comes to Him can go to the Father and rid your chains of this world. You are set free.
This day is about thanking those who have felt these feelings; those who have lost loved ones or have lost their own lives fighting for our physical freedom. We are so blessed to have so many selfless men and women who are willing to go fight for what is right and fight for our freedom to live the way we do, endless freedom. We live in endless freedom thanks to those men and women. We have so much freedom that we actually cause ourselves to hurt sometimes. Often when you get too much of one thing it can end up leading to temptation or bad things and that is something that is a blessing and a curse. The fact that we have the ability to be so free we can take advantage of it is incredible However, we need to remember that this can also cause harm and to think before we choose to use our endless freedom. In addition to that, I think that we need the reminder that freedom isn’t free and neither was our spiritual and mental freedom. When you want freedom it requires a sacrifice.
If you are tired of this world. If you are scared of what direction it is going. If you fear the furture of our government system. If you wonder what you can do to protect your loved ones. There is only one answer; Give your life to Jesus Christ and do all you can to live like Him. If you do this, you will feel true freedom. You can enjoy true physical freedom and with God on your side it will be a safer and kinder freedom because you will care genuinely about the people you are fighting against. With that, brings back our dignity and allows us to avoid feelings taht make us sick. We dont have to have jealousy, envy, shame. However, when we have too much freedom and we arent following the Father we hurt our brothers and sisters.
I thank God for my brothers and sisters who have fought for my physical freedom. I pray that they feel extra loved, respected, appreciated, and overall comforted during this celebration. I pray that you shine through brighter than any firework and relieve those struggling with stress, anxiety, loss.
